Robyn's acrylic, pastel, watercolour and oil paintings have evolved during her 40 years as a full-time artist. This experience has led to discoveries, experimental breakthroughs and being influenced by meeting like-minded artists, students, clients and gallery owners.
Designing large floral triptych paintings, which were, at the time, something new, started her career in the 1980's with Linton and Shaw galleries, now Linton and Kay.
Colour with strong design composition has always been an important component. Natures colours are her inspiration, whether her subject is landscape, seascape, birds or florals.
Her style includes realism and impressionism. Mostly impressionism when painting outdoors with the Mandurah Plein Air group. The large realist floral paintings are executed in a smooth style with the brush. The medium used is mainly water mixable oils and traditional oils.
As a teacher, lecturer, demonstrator and judge of all mediums, Robyn describes her career in the fine arts as a very happy, rewarding and fulfilling experience. Her work for exhibitions, galleries and commissions is painted at her home studio. Live demonstrations by Robyn will take place daily at 11am, alongside students painting throughout the day.
