Audra Guy

Sheep to Shore
Felting | Paint
Audra’s work celebrates the natural, tactile beauty of wool—an organic fibre rich with warmth, texture, and story. Through needle felting, she creates wool sculptures, paintings, and jewellery inspired by the ocean, the rhythms of the landscape, and the country and creatures that surround her. She is fascinated by the way wool responds to touch and values the slow, hand-crafted process that allows each piece to emerge with its own character, playful spirit, and gentle whimsy.

Each work is built layer by layer, fibre by fibre, embracing the natural qualities of the material as it guides the final form. The textures, colours, and forms invite viewers to experience the sensory richness of wool and the subtle narratives it can hold. Audra’s aim is to spark joy, curiosity, and connection, encouraging moments of humour, reflection, and delight.

Whether creating a small character, a landscape, a wearable piece, or an abstract exploration of colour and texture, Audra hopes her work invites people to connect with the simple pleasures of handmade art, the wonder of natural materials, and the joyful stories of place and imagination.
